Battery Disposal Information
When selling batteries or devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
You can return used batteries, which we sell or have sold as new, either at your own expense to us or free of charge at our shipping warehouse (address). Alternatively, batteries can be returned at local collection points.
As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries so that they can be recycled or properly disposed of.
Used batteries may contain hazardous substances that can harm the environment or your health if not handled or disposed of correctly. However, batteries also contain valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese, or nickel, which can be recovered.

Special Notes for the Sale of Starter Batteries
When selling starter batteries to end users, we are obliged under §19 BattDG to charge a deposit of €7.50 including VAT per starter battery if the customer does not return a used starter battery at the time of purchase. The deposit is not included in the purchase price and is listed separately alongside the item price.
If you return a used starter battery to us that we sell or have sold as a new battery in our range, we are obliged to accept it free of charge and refund the deposit.
If a deposit slip has been issued under §19(1) sentence 3 BattDG, the refund is conditional upon returning the deposit slip.
Return location is the address listed in our imprint.
Sending used starter batteries by post is not permitted due to hazardous goods regulations.
Used starter batteries can alternatively be returned free of charge at recycling centers or municipal collection points. Deposits charged by us are not refunded by public recycling centers. However, you can obtain a receipt of return on the deposit slip, which allows you to claim the deposit refund from us.
